Thomas Village Baptist Church

Welcome  to Pastor Bill Kendrick

The fellowship of Thomas Village Baptist Church welcomes Brother Bill Kendrick as Interim Pastor. Brother Kendrick was saved when he was a teenager, was called into the ministry in 1969, and his first pastorate was at the Roadside Mission at Nickelsville. One of the most fulfilling experiences of his life has been doing the "Intentional Interim" work.

Brother Kendrick comes to us through the Intentional Interim Pastor Program and will minister to our congregation on a fulltime basis during the pastoral transition. His task is to facilitate the future of the congregation by bringing healing and cohesiveness to the body in preparation for new vision and leadership. He will aid the congregation in self-study and in taking advantage of the unique opportunities pastoral change presents to the body.

The one thing that he would like for the TVBC Fellowship to know about him is that,"he will love us."

In talking with Brother Bill, we found that the story of Joshua at Jericho is his favorite Bible story because "It shows God's action in the life of Joshua." His favorite passage of scripture is Psalms 91. The first two verses of this inspiring psalm read: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."

Pastor Kendrick was born on September 20,in Scott County and in 1958 married his wife Pat who was born November 11 in Baltimore, Maryland. They have four children, Mike, Karen, Billy and Johnny. Brother Bill and Pat live in Weber City.

Please pray for him, his wife, and our Fellowship as we go forward, together, for Christ. “That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.  II Cor. 1:11
